A NOTE TO MY READERS: I want to reiterate that every one of these shops and artists have been selected by me to participate in my #shoplocal campaign.  I received NO GRATUITIES OR FREEBIES for these shout outs, I love all these places and what they offer and am sharing them to make my readers lives easier and promote local shopping in my area.

#shoplocal Day 16, Tickled Floral

Today is all about a sweet shop in Sherwood Park that I’ve fallen head over heels for.  TickledFloral

One day a few months ago I was cutting hay when I got a ding on my phone, that ding came from Wendy and all she said was she needed to know how to get my jewelry in her shop, she was in love with it.  StorefrontWell, that’s all I need to hear!  I immediately wrote back that I was in the discbine cutting hay but would send her my line sheet that night and the rest is history.

As soon as I set foot in her shop, I was in love.  It’s all exposed, rustic wood with a tall steel countertop and the floral cooler is wide open windows.  Her meeting table is a 5 foot tall upcycled cable spool, there’s two cheeky deer named Sven and Olaf that hang out there (TOTALLY up my alley)Sven and she has antler sheds everywhere.  It is such a welcoming environment and her warm personality made me want to pull up a chair and chat with her for hours while she worked.

When she was a little girl, her mom and aunt started a floral shop in their basement so she grew up playing in petals and greenery.  Of course when she “grew up” she went to University for something practical but ended up back in the flowers shortly afterwards in her own basement and now she’s opened shop on the north side of Sherwood Park.GiftBasket
She obviously does a lot of floral work but also has a retail section in her shop as well.  Farm Wife Style is for sale there, as well as Manitobah Mukluks, Jacek Chocolates, Justine Ma Designs hand lettered cards, Paddywax Candles, Elephant Shoe Teething Co. teething jewelry, and for Christmas she is your one-stop shop for all the decor you love and want, ornaments, christmas balls, fresh wreaths and swags and wooden board Christmas trees that would look awesome on a front porch.WhovilleTree

This Christmas season she is offering three festive workshops so if you want some help with your Christmas decorating but love the idea of a DIY, call, email or drop by and speak to her in person and register for one today.  While you’re there, order a gift basket full of festive cheer for your clients or employees,  she’s open Monday to Friday 10-5 and Saturdays 10-4.

A NOTE TO MY READERS: I want to reiterate that every one of these shops and artists have been selected by me to participate in my #shoplocal campaign.  I am receiving NO GRATUITIES OR FREEBIES for these shout outs and want to keep it that way!  I love all these places and what they offer and am sharing them to make my readers lives easier and promote local shopping in my area.
