#shoplocal Day 13, Urban Oasis Spa

Today is all about pampering.  There’s not a woman, or man for that matter, that doesn’t love a good relaxing spa service and the best part about Brookelynn is she’s another one of those great gals that offers in-home treatments.

I met Brookelynn at a craft fair we did together this past spring.  We ended up with tables beside each other and I know I had a great day enjoying her company.  First of all, I have a total girl crush on her because she’s beautiful, she was a Miss Universe Canada contestant and even though she says she’s “past her prime” she still models for various magazine and ad campaigns – so rad in my books.  Secondly, she’s a working mom just like me so I love to support those that are trying to make it in their profession while raising their little ones and lastly, she knows her stuff.

BrookelynnThis past weekend, I finally got to lay back in her studio and get a facial.  It was relaxing, my skin didn’t get angry, the products she used smelled amazing and I got a heated back pad plus neither of us were being moms for a few hours and which is always an enjoyable break.  She uses the Whistler Naturals product line which is also made in Canada and it’s incredibly refreshing on your skin.

Her prices are very reasonable and a lot of her services she can offer in your home.  She offers her in-home services to Edmonton, Sherwood Park and St. Albert and can accommodate up to 10 people for manicures and pedicures.  It’s a great idea for stagettes, bridal, baby or wedding showers, graduation presents, princess/tween/teen parties, birthdays, anniversaries or just because you want a break and you need to drink a bottle of wine with your girlfriends.

Facials and makeup applications aren’t done in home because she needs a sterile environment to work in but she works out of Blushed Beaute on the northwest side of Edmonton and their spa area is relaxing and gorgeous.  It’s the perfect location to have your hair and makeup done on the day of your wedding, graduation or Christmas party, you’ll feel like a million dollars.

A NOTE TO MY READERS: I want to reiterate that every one of these shops and artists have been selected by me to participate in my #shoplocal campaign.  I am receiving NO GRATUITIES OR FREEBIES for these shout outs and want to keep it that way!  I love all these places and what they offer and am sharing them to make my readers lives easier and promote local shopping in my area.
